Florence Nightingale once said, “Decision making must be based upon the use of accurate data”. For me, it is definitely true, because information technology did a very big help through computers. Many hospitals from other country preferred to use computers to improve patient’s care, to conduct research by analyzing patient trends, variability in practice and outcomes of care. The uses of high-technologies nowadays are not impossible but the reality. It doesn’t mean just for fun, because as of now, computer plays a very big help especially in the nursing and health fields. Doctors and nurses don’t only depend on the computers’ abilities, but they decide with the computers’ ideas. The role of the computers in our profession is to give suggestions/ideas to the health practitioner in which the health practitioner is the one responsible to give what he/she thinks is the best intervention to perform to improve the patient’s health status with the help of the computer. So, in short the computer plays a guiding role in collecting accurate datas leading to have possible accurate outcomes.
